my little Link

This is 5+ months over due, but I just want the world to know how amazing and adorable my Lincoln James is.

After a pretty uncomfortable Sunday, he came to us bright and early on Monday, December 3, 2012.

This was the first time that I got to hold my little Link... it was incredible.

Our first family picture.
The girls were a little more interested in their new dollies at the time :)

I loved looking over from the hospital bed and seeing Peter cuddling with his tiny little son.
These boys melt my heart.

Once we got home the girls were a lot more interested in their new little brother.

They love him so much.

Lincoln has been a sweet, calming presence in our home from day one.

The girls would call him a barbaloot (from The Lorax) in his little snow suit.

The loves of my life.
Link gets lots of love from everybody around here, and he's a really good sport about it :)

Lincoln James was blessed by his daddy on February 24th, 2013.

Looking good on Easter Sunday

He is such a stud <3

He had fun eating solids for the first time yesterday.
Eating is something that this little guy has never had a problem with :)

I am seriously in love with my little Link.

He makes our family even more awesome than it already was :)

Lincoln really does bring a special something into our home. He keeps us calm, and has helped me figure out some sort of order in all of the chaos that comes with raising kids. Jim Gaffigan once said that 5 month old babies are like antidepressants, and it is so true. Link's sweet smile and contagious laughter has brought our family even closer together.
His 2 year old sisters are absolutely in love with him and like to make sure that I am taking good care of him. I love seeing all three of them sitting together or lying on the floor just laughing with each other. Lizzy and Robyn have adopted little baby voices for when they talk to Link. It's the cutest thing ever. I love that my kids love each other. They are going to have so much fun growing up together.
Yup. I am one lucky mommy.

*if you're wondering who took some of these awesome pictures, it was my sister in-law, MarLyn :)

2 years!

My baby girls are two years old. Crazy! They are the cutest little things. Here are some fun pictures and some of the adorable things that they are up to these days.

Lizzy and Robyn are convinced that they are princesses. Well, at least Robby is pretty sure about it :)
If you incorrectly name a Disney princess they will be sure to set you straight.
I love walking down the stairs after getting ready for the day and being called a princess by my two little cuties. We had to explain to them that daddy isn't a princess too. Now they call him "handsome daddy" instead :)

They are such good big sisters.
They love little Lincoln so much. He is their little dolly, and they make sure that he is taken care of with plenty of hugs, kisses, and toys too. I love it when they start talking in little baby voices around him (even more baby then their already baby voices). And every morning they see their little "Lincoln buddy" they are just as excited as the morning before.

So much of our day is filled with singing and dancing, and I love it all.

They are filled with so much pure and innocent excitement for everything, it makes me appreciate the little things more too. These girls love to be outside exploring and playing with rocks, pine cones, and anything else they can find. I think their most favorite thing to do is probably feeding the ducks up the canyon. They'll talk about those ducks for days afterwards.
Their favorite colors right now would probably have to be pink! for Robyn (always said with a lot of excitement) and 'lellow' for Lizzy.

My Lizzy and Robby are filled with so much love.

My favorite moments during the day are when Robby comes up to me and says "kisses!" and then gives me a big wet kiss followed by "hugs!" as she wraps her little arms around my neck. Or when Lizzy puts her head on my shoulder, or even holds my face with her hands and says "I love you mommy."
I Love my sweet little angels so much. They have made these past two years amazing.
I love my life :)

fun in the fall

We had so much fun over the summer that we were sad to see it go, but this fall has been a blast too. Peter has been working a whole lot, going to school full-time, and he still makes time to play with me and our silly baby girls. He's such a good daddy, and we're so lucky to have him.

Lizzy and Robyn have been growing up so fast and learning so much. We love hearing what new words they decide to they want to learn, and try to mimic from mom and dad. A few of their favorite words are 'No'(of course said in a sassy-cute way), 'flower,' 'bubble,' 'doggy,' 'apple,' 'boo,' 'oh no!' 'baby,' 'slide,' 'out,' and 'elmo' is probably the cutest.

It's so hard to believe that they are already 18 months old, but with a baby brother coming in just over a month it's probably a good thing...

Here are some of the things we have been up to the past couple of months:

My sisters, mom, and I went on a girls weekend trip up to Idaho Falls. We had such a blast laughing, shopping and dying our hair. It was so great to get away with these ladies :)

The girls started nursery and love it! I thought they would have a little harder time letting Peter and me go at church, but by the tim ewe come and pick them up they don't want to leave.

We like to spend as much time as we can at the park, especially while the weather is still nice. The girls have so much fun on the slides and trying to act like they are big girls.

Pumpkin adventures (or 'boos' as the girls call them).

The girls dressed up like old school Batman and Robin for Halloween, they were the cutest little tutu-ed  things that I have ever seen. A special thanks to Grandma Hill and Aunt Ashley for making these adorable little things possible.

Ward Party (Peter and I wore shirts that said 'Pow!' and 'Bam!')

Our cute little family this Fall
Thanks Shane and Min for taking some family shots for us! It's been awesome having them so close to us. Lizzy and Robyn absolutely love Baby Tae and start saying her name over and over again whenever they think we are going over to their house.

I love my family and I can't wait for our little man to join us in December. The girls are crazy about babies - their new favorite thing to do is carry their baby dolls around the house and put them down for naps while making little snoring noises - I just hope that love transfers over to a their baby brother. They already like to give my belly kisses when I ask them where the baby is, so I have high hopes for these two big sisters :)

summer trips with the family

These past couple of weeks have been full of fun and lots and lots of driving. Luckily, the driving was made easier because we finally got our van - or as Peter likes to call it, 'The Christiansen Family Van' :)

Last weekend we drove up to Dubois Wyoming and spent the weekend with Ashley, Aric, Jackson, Sharlotte, and Rown. It was so much fun!
The first part of our little adventure was at the Dubois rodeo. The girls loved all of the horses, and even started to embrace some of the cowboy culture.

On Saturday we went to Yellowstone. It was Peter's first time there, so it was fun to see new places with him and the girls. But of course, the girls thought the most fascinating part of the whole trip was all of the dogs they saw:)

Ha- I love this picture
Ashley and Aric have this awesome bouncy slide - Lizzy and Robby were in heaven.
On our way home we stopped by Jackson Hole.

Thanks Ashley and Aric, for being our tour guides and such great hosts. We had so much fun and can't wait to do it again!

Yesterday we got back from a camping trip with my family up in Bear Lake. It was the first time the girls have been camping and they loved being outside all day. We played in the lake and I think Lizzy enjoyed it a lot more than Robyn, but at least they got in the water this time!
They girls had a blast playing with their cousins!

Thank you Sam and Kara for making this awesome family reunion possible!

The past couple of weeks have been full of family and fun - and we've loved it!

summer fun

So I am months behind in updating this blog... I'll use my cute little babes as an excuse :) So to catch up I will once again just show off some of the cute pictures we have taken of them over the past few months. Starting with their first birthday!

1 year old!

We threw a family party for Lizzy and Robyn with all of their cousins. It was so much fun!
We all had fun watching them dig into their own giant cupcakes :)

They celebrated with the ducks too!

 Willow Park

One of our favorite places up here in Logan is Willow Park, so we were way excited when we finally got to take the girls there this year to enjoy the animals.
The girls loved the ducks so much. I think this is where their obsession with them began :)

Hogle Zoo

Our trip to Hogle Zoo was awesome too - Thanks Aunt Mandy and Ari!
It's so fun to see how excited they get about all of the animals now!

Work Party at Hyrum Dam

My work had a little party at Hyrum Dam and it was nice to get out and enjoy some of beautiful Cache Valley.
Robby and Lizzy didn't want much to do with the water, but they sure did love the cheetos!

Weekend in West Jordan

This past weekend we had an awesome time down in West Jordan with our families. And of course the girls did an awesome job at posing for the camera.

Grandma Christiansen walking with her girls.
Being brave big girls on the slide - Katie was a great teacher!
They always have a smile for the camera :)
They finally enjoyed playing in the water!

We've already had so much fun this summer. My baby girls make everything so magical :)
